I agree with the mother not being able to afford a baby and the rape case, but you have got to think about some other things too. We wouldn't want a crack addict to have a baby or raise one. People with drug problems are more than likely to use their drug of choice during pregnancy and afterwords, and it will have very bad effects on a baby.
I don't see why they think abortion is wrong, it's just a fetus, it can't be called a baby since it hasn't been born yet, it can't think, it can't love nothing, it's just....there, we are 7 billion on this damn earth, we don't need more
PD: If you begin to say " You are catholic stop putting your bible in other woman's womb" Atheist can be pro life too (cus' you dont need to belive in God (or other entity) to support life, jut to be a decent human being): www.facebook.com/AtheistsAgain… Ask them, if you want further explanation, they may have a better scientific argument than me
My bad, I put that wrong If you looked the video link I put there, It is a scene of optimus prime saying "They deserve the right to choose for themselves" Thus I used for the woman that wants an abortion.
First: You could make the same argument in regards to pathogens and parasites. Second: the fetus is not just located inside a woman's body; it is also entirely dependent on said woman's body for nutrients, oxygen, and waste removal. How is such not a part of a woman's body?
i mean not to flame but i must correct you on something. most pro-choice people will say "it's my body, so i may do what i want with it." yes, the body carrying the unborn child IS your body. no, the fetus within you is NOT your body. it's like saying that if two twins were conjoined, the younger/smaller/etc. one is pretty much extra body for the older/larger/etc. one. again, i dont want to troll or flame, but it's true.
I agree with being pro-choice. I think that people's views and opinions should not be imposed upon others. No one should be forced to get an abortion if they don't want one, and, in turn, no one should be forced to have a baby they don't want. Because, in the end, a woman should be in charge of her own body. If she wants an abortion, let her have it. If she doesn't want one, that's fine, too.
On a lighter note, I really like the pink of this stamp. The border is nice, too.
Oh oh oh! I used it on my profile! [link] . I understand from medical associations I have, that a baby has his heart at 4-6 weeks, and a neural system (it can feel things) at around 4. This seems to be the stage where the baby can feel pain. This is the "ideal" (though there really is no ideal time) stage to get an abortion in. Weeks 1-4. This isn't usually possible, though.
However, for me, until that baby's internal organs are completely developed as well as arms, legs, fingers, toes, eyes, tongue, starting to form, it's not quite a baby for me. The 'ball of cells' is a fetus at week 10, so any abortion before that is WAY off the "baby killer" tag in my opinion.
Frankly, until the fetus is 'viable' outside the womb (meaning, survive without it's mothers help) it's hard for me to be gung-ho about whether it's killing or not.
After the first trimester though......well...as the fetus grows more, the abortion becomes less and less "acceptable" to me. Third trimester? I would hope someone didn't wait that long and then decide to abort it. I'm aware that in medical cases it may be necessary, but I would hope that you didn't do all of that work for almost nine months and just randomly decide you don't want the baby anymore.
Overall though, I definitely think that pro-choice is the way to go. That way, those who view abortion as wrong can not get abortions, and those who need abortions/do not view it as wrong CAN get them. I am aware that this argument only works with people who do not attribute abortion to murder, but it's still what I think.
Lastly, I think it would be more prudent to attack the issues that cause the NEED for abortion. They are: safe sex (c'mon teens AND adults--contraceptives if you don't want a child), minimizing situations where there is rape (dangerous neighborhoods--this has a lot to do with the economy; respect for women; early lessons for males (and females) on the rights and wrongs of violence; limiting or getting rid of violent pornography; etc.
A scientific study done in the UK 2 years ago found that fetuses become physically sentient (able to feel sensations) after 6 months of gestation, not 4 weeks. The longer you wait to get an abortion, the more complicated the procedure. More complicated=more expensive. Nobody would wait a few months to get an abortion just so that they can pay more to get it.
I'm against women's so called "right" to choose in a lot of cases. I'm Pro-Life.
But I like your choice color of pink; do you know the name of it, or no?
Also, not to come across as a grammar Nazi... you forgot to capitalize the "e" and there is no period or exclamation point at the end of the sentence. Though I can understand the lack of that, because the stamp is rather crowded as it is.
I was only provided my view of what it looked like, my decision to not categorize a fetus as a person is based on what my science textbooks told me lies within the outer cell layer:no brain, no complex nervous system. A brain and a complex nervous system are required for emotional and physical pain, so...
Okay, I am going to be honest here. I HAVE A PROJECT I NEED TO GET DONE AND I'M ONLY HERE NOW BECAUSE I'M WASTING MY TIME. Also, brain activity occurs 22 days after conception. SERIOUSLY I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS SHIT. Goodnight.
